This year's EE BAFTAs brought us many enviable hair styles and textures. And while ladies such as
Zoe Kravitz and Renée Zellweger stunned, the guys also brought the swagger - notably Jude Law and Sadie Frost's offspring, Rafferty Law.
Rafferty's hair was coiffed by BAFTA hair partner
Paul Edmonds salon who has worked with the starlet previously as he embarks on his career path. For his BAFTA look Rafferty embraces the natural curl his hair has, which Paul enhanced and made red-carpet ready.
"Rafferty hair is naturally curly so ahead of the BAFTA red carpet we cut it to create control while enhancing his head shape," Paul explains.
To create the shape Paul stayed away from the clippers. "We used scissor over comb, rather than clipping, to sculpt the hair and left it longer through the top, as curly hair will jump as it dries.
Shu Uemura Art of Hair Essence Absolue All-In-Oil Milk was sprayed all over to retain the moisture level then Shu Uemura Art of Hair Kengo Feather Cream was applied to give gloss and hold."
If your client's hair is natural straight
Creating texture doesn't need to be a daily time-consuming task for your clients, if they want a bit of shape in their texture then a perm is an option. "On naturally straight hair for men it’s easier to
perm, it saves time rather than getting a set of tongs and trying to DIY it plus that won’t last, where as a perm will. I suggest using large grey perm rollers (about 1.5cm in diameter) through the top and upper sides so as to give a soft yet adaptable curl, any smaller you will risk getting a tight frizzy curl which is not adaptable."
