Judging the hundreds of entries to HJ's 2010 British Hairdressing Awards, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional, is never an easy task.

Each collection of four images is annonymously displayed with all of the other entrants in that category.

Every judge takes their task very seriously because they knows that their marks could make the difference between an entry making the all-important shortlist or missing the cut.
