Two days of celebration, education and inspiration was on the cards for the Goldwell ColorSphere event in Milan from 14-15 September, and HJ's Editor Charlotte Grant-West was there on the ground to witness it all.

The first-ever Goldwell ColorSphere event was a meeting point for the global professional colour community. The sold-out event culminated in the high-energy Global Creative Awards 2025.

Milan buzzed with energy and creativity as stylists from across the globe gathered for ColorSphere, Goldwell’s international two-day showcase for the professional colour community. More than 1,200 colourists, salon professionals and educators came together for an immersive celebration.

ColorSphere sees a new look for the event. Global President, Kao Salon Division, Dominic Pratt told an exclusive press conference:

“We want to keep the Global Creative Awards at the heart of the event, but we wanted this event to reflect the needs of the changing market. Goldwell colour is the strongest partnership with our customers. We’ve introduced Masterclasses, featuring the brightest stars in our industry - all about delivering creative and business education and support." Before revealing a first glimpse of the new Goldwell brand… dropping early 2026, so stay tuned!

What HJ Saw - ColorSphere Was All About Learning and Upskilling

Across trend talks, interactive workshops, masterclasses, model showcases, networking spaces, and the grand finale of the runway show and iconic Global Creative Awards, ColorSphere delivered inspirational education geared to elevate creativity and drive business.

Two masterclasses stood out for HJ. Chroma Chronicles focused on wearable salon colour - from grey coverage to dimensional brunettes, as Jessica Price and Ashley Hood displayed their artistry live on stage. They also teased the 17 new Colorance Gloss Tones for 2026...

We also loved Spectrum Secrets with Seung ki Baek and Kylie Bussing, which saw the duo recreating Italian paintings such as Boticelli's The Birth of Venus using Elumen.
