Hj launches extensions specialist of the year competition! HJ Launches Extensions Specialist of the Year Competition! HJ has teamed up with Remi Cachet to launch our very first Extensions Specialist of the Year competition, which will take place at Salon International 2015. Joining our Barber, Afro, Rising Star and Bridal competitions in the live show arena, this contest recognises stylists who regularly inspire their clients with an extension service. To enter, all you need to do is send us a shot of a beautiful look using extensions, with a few words on how you created the look.  You don’t need to use a professional model or photographer; just snap and send your work! The lucky finalists will then be invited to recreate their look live at Salon International where a panel of extension experts will be on hand to pick a winner. Remi Cachet managing director, Victoria Lynch says: "It was important for us to have a competition open to any brand and any application method to enter; but also one that judges the entrants on their application technique as much as the final look.   We want it to be a celebration of the great work professional extensionist’s are doing everyday and we are really excited to see the entries and creativity on the day." Feeling inspired to enter? Just upload your picture today!

Extensions Specialist of the Year: What You Need to Know

-  HJ’s Extensions Specialist of the Year is open to all UK stylists trained to NVQ level 2 or above or who have a minimum of five years’ experience. -  As well as a finished look, you'll also need to include a before shot and a picture of the extension application process. - If you’re a finalist, you’ll need to be able to recreate the look in 45 minutes live at Salon International on Saturday 10 October. - The deadline is 5pm on 4 September 2015. - Clip-in extensions can be applied in the competition area, but other extensions must be applied prior to arriving at Salon International. All technical work (rollers, pin curls etc.) and extension application must be completed prior to arriving at Salon International as there will not be time, or the facilities on site, to colour hair or apply extensions. - Read the full Ts and Cs here galleryWidgetDec14
