Hj award winner matthew davidson dies, aged 39

HJ's former Northern Hairdresser of the Year Matthew Davidson from Mark Hill salon in Hull, East Yorkshire, has died at the age of 39 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Matthew, pictured left, won a variety of awards and was an integral part of the company's artistic team.
Mark Hill, who had worked with him since the age of 15, said: "Matty was a true professional and totally dedicated to his craft. I worked alongside him for nearly 25 years."
"He was such a talented hairdresser, probably one of the best cutters I've ever worked with. But he was more than that - he was my dearest friend, the little brother I always wanted. I'll miss his laughter, his never ending smile and his love."
