Headquarters Kingston recently staged an in-salon competition, judged by a panel including HJ editor Ruth Hunsley.
Six salon teams had to present a look reflecting Autumn/Winter trends, with stylists Sahar Parwani and Sophie Monroe named as the winners with their stunning presentation - the 'Natural Look. Their finished model wore two exaggerated rolls to the top of the head, padded with hair extensions. Plaits that ran through the rolls to the front and back were connected by a veil of eight tiny plaits. The styling included an incredible cloak covered with real autumn leaves. They each received a L'Oreal education course of their choice.
Taking second place were Robert Aldridge and Scarlett Penton with 'Fantasy Forest' and in third position were Emily Nash and Lizz Gibb who presented 'Winter Sparkle'.
Victor Pajak, salon director of Headquarters said: "I was looking for each of them to include current catwalk trends and every one of the teams embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and passion. The idea of the evening was to give them more experience with presentation work and it was also great for education, motivation and inspiration. The results and finished looks were amazing. I'm very proud and they all enjoyed themselves, so it was a great success all round."
Also on the judging panel were Eireann Brookes from Kingston College and Julie Allen from Jools PR.
