Headmasters exhibits at the national apprenticeship show 2023

This month Headmasters Careers & Education teams headed off to Sandown Racecourse in Esher to take part in the National Apprenticeship Show. The only hairdressing company at the event, Headmasters were one of the 50 exhibitors from a wide selection of industries including British Airways and The Metropolitan Police.
The day-long event welcomed over 3,000 15–16-year-olds about to leave school to discover what apprenticeships are available to them, to meet people within the organisations, learn more about the sector, and to chat about what an apprenticeship involves.
Head of Apprentice Education, Charlotte Hayward says: “It is so important to have the opportunity to speak to young people about what an apprenticeship in hairdressing involves and encourage the next generation of talent into the industry.”
The Headmasters’ team were out in force to show prospective hairdressers what a career in hairdressing could offer them. With a fabulous looking stand showing campaign images, hairdressing demos, a competition to win products and hair appointments, plus the all-important selfie ring light, the stand enticed school leavers throughout the day.
“I hope we represented the industry well with our stand and our enthusiasm for a career in hairdressing. We had many sign-ups from young people wanting more information and we hope that it will bring us in a great crop of new talent,” says Charlotte.
Headmasters regularly recruit and train around 200 apprentices a year and are renowned for their excellent training programmes both for apprentices and for qualified experienced stylists.
