Hairstyle step by step: glossy redhead curls

A hairstyle step-by-step guide to creating big, heavy redhead curls by the international Trend Zoom creative team for Goldwell.

 

Cut

BEFORE		1. Hair was sectioned behind the ears and through the top.		2. Hair was point-cut to the required length through the back.
	>
3. A vertical, uniform layer was defined through the nape and worked parallel around the head towards the ears. The sides were slightly overdirected towards the back to prevent the front becoming too short. Fringe length was deep point-cut. Sides were connected to the fringe with the longer perimeter lengths at the back.		4. Fine sections from the remaining hair on the crown was cut to a third of the length, leaving the remaining hair longer and disconnected.

1. Hair was sectioned 2in around the crown. Starting on the left side, a back-to-back foiling technique was used. Slight diagonal slices were taken and formulae A, B and C applied in alternating slices.		2. In the back section, formulae A, B, C and D were applied in alternating slices. This was repeated on the front section and the right side section. Formulae C and D were applied to the rest of the hair and left to process for 20 minutes.		STYLING: Hair was blow-dried, then tonged all over for a soft curl.

  

Colours:                                     A: 35ml Elumen BK@9 apricot blonde + 5ml Elumen GK@all golden copper B: 30ml 3% (10 vol) Topchic Lotion + 10ml Topchic 6KR pomegranate + 20ml Topchic 7KR light copper red C: 40ml 9% (30 vol) Topchic Lotion + 35ml Topchic 9 KG extra light copper gold + 5ml Topchic KK Mix copper mix D: 60ml Colorance Intensive Lotion + 25ml Colorance 9KG extra light copper gold + 5ml Colorance KK Mix copper mix
