Richard Mayhew, the former director of marketing at Goldwell Professional has passed away.
Richard was known and loved by many in the industry for his cheerful personality and positive attitude. Most recently he has been involved in his wife's Linda's Great Lengths project; an initiative launched to help woman and men come to terms with cancer and to help them look and feel good in that tough time. Sadly, Linda Mayhew passed away last year from cancer.
Richard was recognised last December at
the Fellowship Luncheon for this initiative and received the 'Unsung Hero' award; an award which he actually suggested and created with the Fellowship many years previously.
Later, Richard was marketing operator at industry PR company, Catalyst. They describe him as, "a dear friend, colleague and integral part of the Catalyst team. The Paterson family grew very close to Richard over the past 20 years of working together and he would have wanted everyone to know how much he loved the hairdressing industry. "
For those who wish to attend Richard's funeral, it will take place on Tuesday 17th March at 11.30am at the Honour Oak Crematorium.
