Hairdressing industry events and awards for 2021

Yes things are still uncertain in regards to the pandemic, but that hasn't stopped the hair industry planning some brilliant events and awards for 2021. Here are the events and awards scheduled for 2021, what form they will take and any other details you need to know right now. British Hairdressing Business Awards When: Monday 25 January 2021 Where: Virtual! What: HJ’s British Hairdressing Business Awards rewards those who are making waves within their business and ultimately changing the landscape of our industry for the benefit of everyone. Wella Professionals TrendVision Award When: Photographic entries for 2021's TrendVision open on Wednesday 10 February and close on Wednesday 10 March. What: As well as the six categories of Colour Artist, Colour Specialist, Craft Artist, Editorial Look, Style Master and Men's Hair,  the Xposure Student category is now a part of the TrendVision awards. All you have to do to enter is choose your category, select an image of a finished look you've created in the last 12 months. What: Brands such as Indola will be supporting the event and artists such as Andy Smith, Paddy McDougall and Patrick Cameron are a few of the names who will be appearing. After the success of last year's event, it will be online again and tickets will be available on the FHA website very soon. What: Carnoustie Hair & Beauty Charity Golf Day When: 24 May 2021 What: Lake Garda Hair & Beauty Charity Bike Ride When: 19-23 September 2021 Modern Barber Awards When: Sunday 4 July Where: Patterns in Brighton What: The Modern Barber Awards is a dedicated awards platform for barbers and men's hairdressers to celebrate their creative and commercial success. With categories ranging from Best Photographic to Best Apprentice, the awards represent the key points of pride for barbering. The awards give recognition to the talented individuals, teams and businesses that are defining the future of the barbering industry. Visit: Register your interest here Barberfest When: Monday 5 July Where: Hilton Brighton Metropole Hotel in Brighton What: An experiential event based in Brighton, Barberfest will feature live stages, educational zones, live competitions, the latest barbering launches, as well as giving the industry a much-needed opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new connections. British Hairdressing Awards, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional When: Monday 29 November Key dates: Entry deadline - Friday 18 June 2021 Shortlist announced - Wednesday 14 July 2021  What: Each year, the British Hairdressing Awards, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional celebrates the very best creative talent in the industry. To be recognised for one of these prestigious awards hairdressers, colourists and teams put together a collection of hair photographs, before their work is blind judged to select the finalists in each category. American Crew All Star Challenge All Star Challenge is being pushed back this year so rather than being launched in January as in previous years, it will be launching in March. This will mean the final event will take place in May so will (hopefully!) be able to be an in-person celebration. More info will be added when we receive it!
