Hairdresser David Rae has given his support to the Smile International charity by spending a week with war-widows in Kosovo.
Although it is 12 years since the war, thousands of people were disabled and widowed by the conflict and David was made aware of their plight by one of his clients, Ruth Doubleday, co-founder of the Smile International Charity.
During his time in the city of Gjakove, David visited 25 poverty-stricken widows and cut their hair and their children's hair.
He also ran three workshops, which were attended by 55 hairdressers all eager to learn UK hairdressing skills and donated shampoo and conditioner to those in need.
