Hairdressers Journal International has announced a strengthened editorial structure across its content team, with new appointments and promotions supporting the brand’s continued growth across print, digital, social and events.

As part of the expanded team structure, Abbie Skliarsky is set to join the business in June as Acting Deputy Editor, playing a key role across editorial planning and content production while Charlotte Grant-West continues her maternity leave.

At the same time, Eve Oxberry has expanded her remit to oversee Hairdressers Journal International (HJ) in her role as Head of Editorial for Professional Beauty Group.

The strengthened structure also builds on recent internal promotions within the HJ team, including Chloe Weldon’s move from Content Editor to Content & Social Lead, and Josie Jackson’s promotion to Senior Content Writer last year.

Abbie Skliarsky joins the role with extensive experience across editorial, copywriting and content strategy for luxury beauty and lifestyle brands. Most recently a copywriter, she has also held senior editorial and content positions at leading titles, covering beauty, hair and more.

Her experience spans editorial, CRM, social and eCommerce, combining creative storytelling with commercial strategy across multi-channel campaigns.

Eve Oxberry has more than 20 years’ experience as a business journalist and has specialised in the professional beauty, spa, hair and aesthetics sectors throughout of career.

As Head of Editorial for Professional Beauty Group, she oversees print, digital and social content across the portfolio, while also curating conference programmes, hosting live panels, webinars and interviews, and fronting The Pro Beauty Pod podcast.

Chloe Weldon has been a key member of the HJ team since 2022 and recently stepped up the role of Content & Social Lead after previously serving as Content Editor.

Chloe contributes regularly to both the HJ print magazine and website, while also overseeing content across HJ’s social media channels. She holds a Master’s degree in Magazine Journalism and previously worked as Assistant Editor at craft publication Tattered Lace.

Meanwhile, Josie Jackson, who has also been with the business for four years, was promoted to Senior Content Writer last year, in recognition of her contribution to content across print, digital and social platforms.

Josie is dedicated to creating accessible and informative content for hair professionals across the industry.

Together, the strengthened editorial team reflects Hairdressers Journal International’s continued investment in high-quality industry content and audience engagement across all platforms.
