I've spent this week on two very different photo shoots. The first on Monday was with the winner of the
Paul Mitchell Colour Challenge. The team from Bobbers in Liverpool had never done a shoot before but their determination to succeed was second to none.

Photo shoots like this is all about creating beautiful, commercial looks that will bring bums on seats and promote the skill and creativity of the team and they created Amy Winehouse-inspired beehives, a plethora of curls and textures. On Wednesday I spent time with members of the
Bumble and bumble international creative team as they created a collection exclusively for HJ. All respected session stylists, they created looks based on androgyny taking inspiration from their time working backstage at fashion shows around the world. It was inspiring in different ways to spend time on both shoots, from inexperienced to established, their passion and drive was the same -- to create a collection that was creative and aspirational (for clients and fellow stylists). Watch out for the Bumble and bumble collection in HJ next month. Ruth@HJi
