Hairdressers bare all* for habb

Leading names in British hairdressing - Errol Douglas, Desmond Murray, Paul Merritt, Jamie Stevens, Cos Sakkas, James Galvin, Andrew Barton, Leonardo Rizzo, Akin Konizi, Steven Goldsworthy, Gary Hooker, Michael Young, and Tim Scott-Wright - have all bared their torsos in the name of charity.

The thirteen brave icons were joined by hairdressing legend Robert Lobetta popped into the studio to see what was going on and was persuaded to take part, and Anthony Mascolo for the special HABB Calendar Guys initiative.

HJ's deputy editor and calendar art director Ruth Hunsley said: "We wanted to show the hairdressers in a new light, and we certainly did that.

"Who knew that under those T-shirts hairdressers were so fit? They all did a fantastic job and really got into character. The two-day shoot was a lot of fun and hopefully it will make lots of money for HABB."

Desmond also took the photographs. "The hairdressers knew how to move in front of the camera, they'd obviously picked up some tricks after all those years working with models."
