HJ touched down in Denmark on Tuesday 7 May for Eurovision with official Presenting Partners Moroccanoil for five days of pure pop madness.

Tuesday
We checked in at the NH Hotel Copenhagen, and the room was like a shrine to Moroccanoil! Check out the dressing gown and fully-stocked bathroom in the IG Reel below.
We took a quick walk out for dinner and saw some of the Copenhagen sights!

The Moroccanoil Styling Bubble
And now for the coolest part of the Malmö stadium – the Moroccanoil Styling Bubble, where 33 stylists from across the globe work to style the performer's and their backing dancers' hair.
We were greeted by the fabulous Global Creative Director Antonio Corral Calero, which explained how the Styling Bubble worked and how Moroccanoil works to make Eurovision the success that it is.
"We do consultations on every performing artist, and have a master Look Book which our stylists can refer to. We note down the artist's performance and what products work best for their styles. We also have a screen to watch the performances here in the Bubble, we look closely to see how the hair behaves during the performance and if we need to change anything."
Antonio then touched on what qualities are needed to work with performers backstage. "Anyone that is hired as a stylist has to be a good human being," he revealed. "It's not about ego, or how many folloowers they have, it's about the heart. Our job is to make the performers and the teams around them feel as comfortable as possible."
During the Styling Bubble tour we got a sneak peek of the new Moroccanoil Treatment Purple, a slightly pigmented version of the Original Treatment which neutralises brassy tones and helps keep blonde hair looking and feeling its best.
Next, we filmed HJ’s 17 questions with Vice President of Creativity, Kevin Hughes. Scroll down or head to our Instagram page to see the full interview, and find out what Kevin's proudest hair moment was...
I also interviewed Nicole Healey, winner of the Moroccanoil Global Hair Competition 2023 in Las Vegas, who actually won the opportunity to style hair at Eurovision as part of her prize. What a prize...
Nicole shared: "I couldn't believe I had made it to the top five finalists in the Moroccanoil Global Hair Competition, we all got to go to Las Vegas to compete in the live competiiton. I felt like I'd already won to be honest, then when I was chosen as the ultimate winner it was unreal! The competition was out of my comrot zone, but it forced me to do things I'd never done before which is amazing for my hairdressing skills. I can't wait for this experience at Eurovision, I love working collaboratively with the Moroccanoil team and learning new skills."
Thursday
We headed out to the Purple VIP event at the Malmö Arena to find a purple paradise. With a purple dress code, purple-themed drinks, a lilac-hued flower garden and even a purple carpet we celebrated the launch of (you guessed it) Moroccanoil Oil Treatment Purple. With subtle violet pigments it's desinged to tone correct blonde, lightened or grey hair, with all of the hair health benefits of the original treatment.
Antonio and Kevin talked us through the innovation before we celebrated with purple cocktails and made our way into the Arena for the Semi Finals 2 show. And what a show, highlights included Netherland's Europapa and Switzerlands's Nemo. Both performances certainly brought the Eurovision eclectic eccentrity to life.
Saturday - Final night!
HJ headed to the styling suite to get a Eurovision-worthy look from Kevin Hughes. We then headed into Sweden back to the Moroccanoil purple paradise for the warm-up party before the Eurovision finals, before taking our seats in the arena to watch four hours of live music! The atmosphere was electric and we couldn't have been more excited for Switzerland to scoop the prize. Singer Nemo wowed the audience with their incredible performance which see them singing on top of a rotating disc. How they didn't fall or waver from the faultless vocal performance we'll never know!
