HABIA has developed a new health and safety qualification to help salon owners, managers and industry professionals stay on top of legislation.
The Level 2 award in Health and Safety for the Salon Environment, developed in association with awarding organisation VTCT, is aimed at anyone working in a salon or spa environment.
Specific to the hair and beauty industry, the qualification is delivered in just one day and costs £60 +VAT per delegate.
Rob Young, Habia MD, said: "There is a real need to demystify health and safety and take away some of the stigma. Done correctly it can actually help improve working practices and procedures, thus helping business performance. The Level 2 Award in Health and Safety for the Salon Environment will provide all those who take it with a good understanding of the principles of good health and safety, whilst ensuring they meet legislative requirements."
