Habb golf day raises money for charity

habb-golf.jpg.The fourth annual HABB Golf Classic event saw 52 keen golfers from across the UK battle it out for the coveted HABB Golf Trophy, while raising more than £2,000 for the industry charity in the process

More than 50 golfers from salons, distributors and manufacturers played at the Mannings Heath GC in West Sussex.

HABB committee members Sally Styles from the Hairdressing Council and Janine Chapman from ghd drove round the course in buggies, handing out much needed refreshments, while event organiser Pete Statham from Balmain teed off last to make sure everything ran smoothly.

Winner was Boosh salon owner Andrew Harris from Swansea, who fought off tough competition from runner-up Gary Coley of Gear UK and Kevin Hickman from ghd finishing in third place.

The Team event was once again won by the Aston & Fincher Birmingham team consisting of sales director Paul Cahill, sales managers Richard Hill and Darren Whitehouse and salon owner Chris Wright of Chris Wright Hairdressing Leicester.
