The Great Lengths Awards are back for 2014, with exciting new categories covering men's extensions and
Fastrack applications.
Launched in 2010 to recgonise the talent within the hair extensions industry, the biannual awards are designed to give salons and stylists across the UK the chance to demonstrate their creativity in the art of styling and applying extensions.
There are three new categories in 2014 - the Men-hancement Transformation for men's hair, Fastrack Transformation for the latest application process and the Silver Salon Award to recognise outstanding talent.
Commenting on the introduction of the new men's category Chris King, Head of Education at Great Lengths commented:
"The Great Lengths Awards are all about pushing boundaries and celebrating innovation in creative hairdressing, and due to the rising trend seen by our Great Lengths salons in male hair extensions, it seemed only fitting that we introduce a brand new 'Men-hancement Transformation' category for the 2014/2015 competition! Our Great Lengths extensionists have been producing phenomenal results using both our pre-bonded and Fastrack service tape-applied extensions for male hair, and have really raised the bar when it comes to delivering outstanding grooming and enhancement options for men."
This year, the Great Lengths Awards will take place in the company's hometown of Leeds at the iconic Queen's Hotel on 14 September.
The awards are free to enter and will open on 1 February, with a closing date of 30 June.
Carol Leo, managing director at Great Lengths said: "We’re delighted to bring the Great Lengths Awards back to such a talented industry. Past entries and winners have blown us away so we can’t wait to see what this year’s talent has in store. As well as the recognition, winning an award has huge business benefits so we wish salons and stylist the very best of luck."
