Gq men of the year

There wasn't anything to get overly excited about men's hair-wise at the GQ Men of the Year Awards.

I wasn't lucky enough to blag a place on the red carpet like my fellow blogger Ruth Hunsley, but looking at pics from the event it wasn't their barnets the men were being honoured for.

Actor, Dominic Cooper looked quite cool with a thrown-together quiff - and a cheeky grin - but Alex James (former Blur bassist) proved what HJ's 2008 Men's Hairdresser of the Year, Jamie Stevens, is always saying - if hair is thinning, keep it short! That foppish fringe may have worked in his heyday, but now it just draws attention to an apparently receding hairline.

 

And as for Mark Ronson - doesn't he read this blog, or care what he's doing to my distraught colleague Rachael Gibson? Full-marks for making a statement, mate, but you've lost any chance of any of the women at HJ ever going on a date with you. Your loss!
