The £100 Salon Challenge has been launched by HAIRraising, with the aim of recruiting 1,000 salons to help reach their next milestone of £100,000.
Each of the salons who volunteer to take part will be tasked with raising £100 in their salon throughout August. At the end of the month, it's hoped that HAIRraising, in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity, will have boosted the fund substantially closer to its goal; a new respiratory unit at the hospital.
Suggested quick and easy ideas to reach the target include...
Be a salon-trepreneur
Set up your own fundraising stall in your salon. Sell home-made treats or gifts in return for a donation from clients.
Complimentary thairapy
Offer your clients a free head massage in return for a donation.
Organise a frizz quiz
Have a fun customer quiz – match the celebrity to the hair and ask them to pay a small entry fee to participate.
Think you can make £100 in six weeks?
