Goldwell trend zoom uk finalists named at summer party

Goldwell's Trend Zoom Colour Challenge 2009 UK leg came to a gripping climax when the UK winners were announced at the Urban Chic Summer Party, hosted by Goldwell and KMS California at the quirky Jasmine Studios venue in Shepherd's Bush.

As well as the announcement of this year's Trend Zoom UK winners, there were plenty of surprises in store for guests, including entertainment by Britain's Got Talent stars Stavros Flatley and disco diva Jocelyn Brown and, of course, a hair show.

The show saw six of Goldwell's Ambassador's - Mark Leeson, Paul Scully (Scully Scully, Godalming), Lisa Whiteman (Webster Whiteman), Shane Bennett, Michael Barnes and Adam Kemmy (Burlingtons) -   showcasing their interpretations of this year's Trend Zoom worlds, Ecopolitan and Virtualist.

With the trends firmly in everyone's minds, it was over to Goldwell's new Head of Education, Irene Meikle to announce which of the finalists' trend interpretations had most impressed the judges. And the three category winners were:

  Hayley Waters from Burlesque 

The talented trio* will now head out to Las Vegas to compete in the Trend Zoom Global Challenge in October. If they are successful, they will become a member of the International Trend Zoom Creative Team 2010.

With the serious business over, it was time to party. After being wowed by the on-stage entertainment, guests enjoyed an al fresco BBQ and free-flowing drinks while being serenaded by the live band or taking to the dancefloor to end a fun-filled evening.

* Due to unforeseen circumstance Kim Roy will not be attending the final in Las Vegas and Elumen Color Category runner-up Nicola Smyth from Vogue International, Leamington Spa, will be competing.
