Goldwell-beautify2.jpgAfter two days of competition and celebration at the Color Zoom 2012 International final, Goldwell turned to education as it launched the 2013 trend, Beautify.

Presented by Goldwell head of creative direction William Wilson, the look and learn seminar revealed the eight new looks that have been derived from the current economic climate and the culture of creativity and individuality it has created.

Moving on from the bright, bold tones of Fascinature, Beautify uses pastel tone and muted shades to create a softer look that was inspired by knitting patterns and the designs people use to make their urban surroundings beautiful..

These colour patterns are complemented by strong, statement cuts with graphic lines, dramatic partings and multi-directional fringes to really grab attention.

Goldwell-beautify.jpgAs the Color Zoom name suggests, the main focus is on the hair colour, which is applied by three dipping methods: one to create shine lines,  one for blending for a soft line and one called 'transition' to create an airbrushed effect for an on-trend finish.

To convey the individuality theme and modern clients' desire to get multiple looks from one cut, the seminar concluded by demonstrating how each of the looks can be styled to celebrate the return of straight hair or personalised with styling tools to create diverse textures.
