Goldwell is proud to unveil its new and exclusive Global Creative Awards UK Art Team Powered by Mark Leeson.

Formed with Global Creative Awards Bronze, Silver, and Gold winners, this unique by-invitation only opportunity supports the team of national GCA winners to further elevate their craft while working alongside one of hairdressing’s most renowned leaders.

A bespoke experience, the Goldwell GCA UK Art Team is exclusively designed to support talented stylists on their creative journey beyond the competition. Taking place over five immersive days in 2025*, the programme combines expert, personalised mentoring with the opportunity to create a stunning hair collection**.

Program Overview

Day 1: Cutting – Monday, 10 February

The Art Team will push their creative boundaries in cutting techniques, refining their skills to elevate both session and commercial work.

Day 2: Colour – Tuesday, 4 March

Artists will further push their creative colouring boundaries, developing an expert’s flair for colour placement and how to showcase this to the fullest within a great haircut.

Day 3 & Day 4: Blueprint – Monday, 7 April & Monday, 14 April

Two days of fashion, shoot prep and session styling. Stylists will take inspiration from top runway designers, focusing on how to fuse fashion and hair while mastering styling management. They’ll also work on developing ideas, creating mood boards and refining processes to help visualise and plan their editorial and photographic work.

Day 5: Photoshoot – Thursday, 15 May

Bringing all their new skills to life, the GCA UK Art Team will step in front of the camera, creating a stunning Art Team Collection photoshoot.

This new team of stylists has been nurtured over the last year by the talented Martin Crean and Beverly C who supported them on their journey of discovery and artistry, directing their passion to support them with creating a collection of beautiful winning looks. Goldwell is committed to supporting the growth and success of exceptional talent within hairdressing. We can’t wait to see the incredible creations that will come from this new chapter in the Goldwell Global Creative Awards journey.”

Mark Leeson also commented on the new GCA UK Art Team, sharing: "I am thrilled to announce a new initiative developed by myself and Goldwell UK to further enhance our synergy as partners. The new GCA UK Art Team Powered By Mark Leeson is an exclusive mentorship program fusing education, editorial and commercial trends, fashion and catwalk inspiration. It’s uniquely designed to continue the elevation of the skill sets of our candidates, and to push their creative boundaries, culminating in an exclusive photoshoot. I'm super excited as mentoring and nurturing talent is one of my passions and shows Goldwell UK’s commitment to enhancing its education portfolio and offer something very unique and bespoke. It promises to be a very exciting programme and I can’t wait to get started."
