Glam rocks! get inspired at musical exhibitions david-bowie-exhibition-v-and-a.jpgThe glam rock era was a visually extravagant scene which inspired fashions and beauty trends across the country in the seventies - with equally flamboyant music to match.


This spring sees two exhibitions celebrating this glittering era, with plenty of inspiration for hairdressers to be found at both.


Glam! The Performance of Style takes place at the Tate Liverpool until 12 May 2013 and celebrates every aspect of the glam era, from music and fashion to art and installations.


With more than 100 artworks exploring glamour, camp, eroticism and dandyism, it's sure to inspire the creative minds of hairdressers.

For a full-on celebration of one of the most iconic musicians of the era, David Bowie is... at the V&A is a must-see. 


On from 23 March to 28 July, this exhibition sees the official David Bowie archive opened for the first international retrospective of the musician and style icon's career.


The king of reinvention, David Bowie has inspired countless hairdressers and shoots and will probably continue to do so for the rest of time!
