Ghd team gets state registered ghd Team Gets State Registered ghd has thrown its support fully behind the #GetRegistered campaign, announcing that 18 of its key creatives are now State Registered. Members of creative, education and Style Squad team have all supported the campaign, which calls for hairdressing to be regulated in the UK. Jo Robertson, ghd head of UK and ROI education, says: "At ghd we believe passionately that it's in the interests of the industry as a whole – and in raising professional standards for clients – that we should have state registration. We support the Hair Council in its mission to lobby MPs and as well as ensuring all our teams are professionally qualified SRH hairdressers and we will also aim to support the cause by raising awareness throughout the year during our academy seminars." Sally Styles, CEO and registrar Hair Council adds: "I am absolutely delighted that ghd are backing the campaign and have registered all their educators. ghd is a successful and professional global company which understands that the hair industry needs registration to bring up standards and professionalism. The political lobbying campaign for registration has never been more active and the Hair Council is making huge strides towards the ultimate goal of all hairdressers and barbers having to be registered and be licensed. ghd backing the campaign is yet another indication of how the industry is getting behind the Hair Council and helping to drive forward this important change."
