The ghd Style Squad is one of the most exciting
young talent teams in the industry - and 2014 audition dates have now been announced.
Now in its third year, the ghd Style Squad offers talented young stylists aged between 18-21 the opportunity to hone their skills over the course of a year-long mentoring programme.
Led by ghd lead educator Lorna Moore, members of the style squad will get to work at London Fashion Week,
Salon International and ghd media events and launches throughout the year.
Jo Robertson, ghd’s head of education said: “We had no idea how successful the ghd Style Squad could be when we launched it three years ago, but it’s now becoming a must for any young stylists waiting to progress in their career and polish their styling skills. It’s also a great way for us to uncover and nurture new talent. The standard of entries gets higher every year and we can’t wait to meet this year’s applicants."
Anyone keen to become a part of the team for 2014 should register their interest at
[email protected]. The closing date is Friday 18 April and live auditions will take place in London on 29 and 30 April 2014.
And if you are still in any doubt, this is what one of last year's team members, Billy Fry of Strands Hairdressing in Whiteley had to say about his experience:
" My time on the style squad was amazing. As a young hairdresser you're given opportunities that many will never experience. I was fortunate enough to assist on shows over two seasons at London Fashion Week with ghd, which is an experience that has stuck with me and has driven me to try and take my career in that direction. As well as the various opportunities you're given over the year, you also receive some amazing training days with some great educators and industry leaders. Being part of the Style Squad helped to keep my career fresh and exciting; I didn't want the year to end and luckily enough it hasn't! Thanks to ghd Spotlight, I managed to land myself a position on the ghd Art Team. I strongly recommend young hairdressers to audition; you won't be disappointed."
