Getting creative with stylers on the ghd precious tour
Time is precious, so the aim of the ghd Precious Tour was to teach stylists how to create stunning hairstyles that can be fashioned in minutes using ghd stylers.
To make sure that the hairdressers enjoyed their precious time too, the seminars were held in swanky bars around the country so that they could enjoy a drink or two while witnessing the hair transformations on stage.
And while the drinks flowed freely, the ghd team, led by Paul Merritt, put on a show very much inspired by the current darling of the hair industry - Dannii Minogue.
"Dannii Minogue's bob is an example of what can be achieved from one little hair cut," explained Paul. "One week she's wearing it in a quiff, the next she has finger waves and then she's wearing it straight.
"It shows just what you can do with a bit of imagination and I believe that's the sort of service we should be offering as hairdressers."
Paul started the show by transforming a mid-length bob into a cool asymmetric shape using the stylers to create waves that were pinned into place.
Then it was time to get playful as the team created looks including a Lady GaGa-inspired bow; 1940s style rolls and an on-trend quiff using the irons.
From party hair to daywear, the eight looks were designed to get hairdressers thinking differently in a relaxed environment. And after a fun evening out, everyone left with plenty of inspiration to take back to the salon - now that's precious!
