Nail art was something of a phenomenon at last year's Olympics, and once again at this year's Wimbledon nails are taking centre stage (after some pretty incredible tennis, that is). Tennis stars such as Laura Robson have been sporting on-trend manicures on the court, but we've seen something even better - these beauties from Original Sugar.
Follow the step by step below to get some awesome Wimbledon nails!
- Apply a base coat and allow to dry before painting the nails white.
- Using a variety of bright colours, draw around the outside edge of the nails, leaving white space visible.
- Use a white nail art pen to draw points out from the white centre, creating a star shape.
- Next, draw small dots onto the coloured area using the white nail art pen.
- Outline the star with a black nail art pen to get the cartoon effect.
- Write some tennis-themed words on the nails - Whack! Pow! Ace! - you know the score.
- Apply a top coat to seal your art work, don't want those illustrations chipping off when your client hits the court (or the strawberries and cream).
