As TONI&GUY celebrate their 50th anniversary, we've been looking back at some of the most iconic hairstyles from the last five decades.
Bigger is better was the defining phrase of the eighties and it didn't just apply to hair - TONI&GUY expanded in a big way during this decade, opening their first academy in 1982. As well as allowing the brand to teach, inspire and educate a new generation of hairdressers, it also paved the way for an international education system which today sees the team educate 100,000 stylists every year.
Since the first academy opened, some of the world's leading stylists have been taught at TONI&GUY including: Guido, Eugene Souleiman, Malcolm Edwards, Neil Moodie and Paul Hanlon.
Here the TONI&GUY team reveal how to create a modern update on classic eighties volume:
1.For traffic-stopping volume, prep with label.m Volume Foam and label.m Extra Strong Mousse.
2. Spritz locks with label.m Blow Out Spray to give the blow-dry extra lift.
3. Tong, pin and set the hair for a minimum of 30 minutes.
4. Brush out gently to unleash a mane full bodied bouncing curls.
