Kevin Ryan and the Unite team combined prissy and pretty for the Richard Chai Love Autumn/Winter 2015 show at New York Fashion Week. The show: Richard Chai Love Autumn/Winter 2015 The hair team: Kevin Ryan for Unite The look: A figure of eight bun with a dry texture, finished with a black headband. The inspiration: "We wanted to create a look that walked a fine line between prissy and pretty and carefree and lived in," says Kevin. "The result was the creation of a hybrid figure-of-eight bun." The key product: Unite Expanda Dust Get the Look 1. Spray UNITE TRICKY Spray all over the hair, from the roots through to the ends to give hair grip and a matte finish. 2. Sprinkle UNITE EXPANDA Dust throughout the hair for extra grip and volume. 3. Pull the hair straight back into a ponytail and secure at the nape of the neck with an elastic band. 4. Make a very loose braid from the ponytail and secure the end with a second elastic band at the end. Make sure you leave at least 2" of hair loose. 5. Using forceps, pull the end of the ponytail through the hair above the top elastic band – this will create a figure-of-eight bun. 6. Dishevel the bun slightly with your hands and secure with a bobby pin. 7. Finish the look by adding a headband, ensuring that all hair is completely swept away from the face.
