Find out how to recreate this grungy lilac hair colour with our step-by-step from Gianni D'Assero and Stephanie Senner for TIGI.
Create a parting following the haircut and natural fall of the hair.
Create a large circular section 1" back from the hairline, incorporating the low crown. Subdivide into four equal sections and secure.
Take a radial parting from the top of the ear towards the circular section on either side of the head.
Starting at the nape, take a diagonal slice and apply formula 1 from the new growth area through to the midlengths and ends. Isolate using a TIGI copyright©olour meche strip.
From the second slice apply formula 1 from the roots through to the midlengths. With a freehand blending technique apply formula 2 through the lengths and ends then isolate with meche strips. Repeat on the other side.
Progressing into the two sections at the crown, apply formula 1 from the new growth area through to the midlengths and ends. Continue until the sections are complete and isolate.
Working into the radial section, take horizontal slices and apply formula 1 to the roots, then formula 2 through the midlengths and ends. Isolate with meche strips and repeat on the opposite side.
Continue the same technique into the last two sections, apply formula 1 to the new growth area, then formula 2 through to the midlengths and ends.
Within the fringe area, take half-inch slices and apply formula 1 from the roots through the midlengths and ends.
Process for 20 minutes then rinse.
STYLING: Apply a volume spray then blast-dry hair and spray for added texture and hold.
