Get the look: creative colour by anne veck Get the Look Colour by Anne Veck Anne Veck has been on the shortlist for HJ's Southern Hairdresser of the Year and was a 2014 finalist for Afro Hairdresser of the Year - here she reveals the secrets behind one of her most striking images. 1. Visually apply bleach to the surface of the hair about 2” from the roots and around the crown area in a halo shape. 2. Use a brush flat to deposit most of the product and then apply vertical strokes with the brush to diffuse the start and finish of the section. 3. Shampoo and condition the hair when the desired level of lift is achieved (orange). 4. Rough-dry the hair. 5. Apply a black semi-permanent colour all over the hair, avoiding the prelightened section, then apply different toners on the pre-lightened section, using the brush in vertical strokes and merging each colour to the next one to avoid lines.
