Create a striking new look for the new season with this easy-to-follow step-by-step by Leonardo Rizzo for Indola. You'll learn to cut, colour and style this edgy bob for a cool update on a classic.

1. Before

2. COLOUR: Take a banana-shaped section on top of the head. Twist and secure this section.

3. Mix Indola PCC shades one part 3.1 dark brown ash, two parts 5.56 light brown mahogany red with 2% developer and apply on entire head. Leave out the separated section. Leave to develop for 30 minutes then rinse and dry.

4. Take the separated top section and split into two.

5. Apply Indola Contrast using back-to-back foils. Apply PCC Contrast Red C.66x + 12% developer on the front part and PCC Contrast Copper C.44x + 12% developer on the back part. Leave for 30 minutes to develop and then rinse.

6. CUT: Section as shown.

7. Define a short fringe line. The shorter the fringe is defined the stronger the end result will be.

8. Take a horizontal section on the left side and define a base length. All sections on the left side are pulled towards the baseline and connected. Then lift away from the head for graduation.

9. Take a small section in the back and cut a short outline. Bring hair down and connect the entire section while lifting away from the head for graduation.

10. Carry on creating a base length towards the right side of the head. Connect all the length to the baseline.

11. On the right side pull sections diagonally towards the face and connect to the short fringe. This will build up length at this side of the head.

12. Bring hair from the top down and connect to the sides. Leave longer on the right side of the head and disconnect from the undercut length below.

13. STYLING: Hair is blast-dried and smoothed with irons.
