Get the jonathan saunders look

Prom girls will continue to be all the rage for Spring/Summer 2011 and over at the Jonathan Saunders show, they took on a modern feel with bare midriffs and short hemlines. However, when it came to the hair, Paul Hanlon and the TIGI creative team took inspiration from 40s prom girls with a hint of androgyny. Here's how to get the look:

jsaunders.jpg1 TIGI Catwalk Your Highness Root Boost was applied to the roots and blast-dried to create a clean, healthy looking texture.

2 Retro masculinity was brought to the look with a straight side parting and flat brushed back

sides.

3 The slighty ridged volume at the front was created using curling irons and given sheen with

a touch of pomade.

4 A mid height ponytail was centred, tonged, then finally brushed out so that there was a soft feminine swing when the girls walked, working with their own individual hair length and texture rather than one uniform look.
