Gary Ingham Hairdressing has defied the recession to expand its Hampstead salon into much larger premises. The salon has also announced that it will be partnering with global eco-brand, Aveda, to launch the area's first Lifestyle and Spa.
Founded in December 2007, just months before the start of the global downturn, the business has grown so rapidly over the past four years that it has overgrown its existing premises.
Alongside a threefold expansion in hairdressing capacity, the brand new 2,500 square foot site will house a dedicated spa, stocking the full Aveda range of naturally-derived hair and beauty products.
Among the more unusual features of their new home will be reclaimed oak parquet flooring rescued from Christie's Mayfair auction rooms, re-purposed aged French railway sleepers, recycled furniture commissioned from artisans around the country and a glossed tile feature wall reflecting the tube station just opposite.
The salon currently employs eight members of staff and will be expanding its team significantly over the coming months.
