Fun and fireworks at toni&guy mainstage08
TONI & GUY proved that they really know how to put on a hairdressing show as they teased, thrilled and excited more than 3500 hairdressers at MAINSTAGE08 at Kensington Olympia.
Hairdressers from as far afield as Australia and Hong Kong, all dressed up to the nines, gathered for the company's annual awards and the unveiling of their new collection: FLUX.
Introducing the Awards, Toni Mascolo, founder and CEO of TONI&GUY, said: "When we started the company it was about education, education, education. Today, education is still at the forefront of everything we do.
"These awards are testament the commitment, professionalism and sheer determination of individuals within the greater TONI&GUY team."
It was then the turn of global creative director Sacha Mascolo-Tarbuck and global brand director James Tarbuck, along with a who's who of hair industry press, to salute the company's star performers of the last 12 months.
With the serious business of the awards over, it was time for the fireworks to begin - literally, with stunning white displays lighting up the stage.
Up-and coming rock band Iglu and Hartly took to the stage accompanied on the catwalk by models parading the latest Spijkers and Spijkers collection from London Fashion Week and complementary crimped hairstyles.
Star billing went to the launch of FLUX, an ecclectic collection inspired by everything from 20s flapper girls to 60s sex sirens, while the art team also wowed the crowd with their voluminous creations that beautifully mirrored Giles Deacon's recent collection.
The all singing, all dancing show continued with a slick robotic performance before concluding with an avant garde spectacle.
