Front row style at chanel

Keira Knightley got tongues wagging at Chanel yesterday with her new bob, but the front row at Paris Fashion Week's most stylish show was packed with A-listers.

Both Rachel Bilson and French actress Lou Doillon rocked the balayage look, with dramatically lightened ends. This controversial colour technique has divided opinion, but by keeping her style glossy and groomed, I think Rachel carries it off best. Lou is cool enough to do anything and get away with it - and that floppy hat takes some of the attention away from her two-tone colour!

Models Claudia Schiffer and Clemence Poesy both opted for glamorous waves, styled in a simple centre parting. Such a perfect look - and although Claudia is German, she has nailed that French look perfectly. Bonafide Frenchy Clemence is the perfect Parisienne style guru through and through - simple, chic, and understated.

Sticking with the effortless feel, Vanessa Paradis and Alexa Chung both look simply chic with naturally styled looks. Not many people can carry off mousy brown hair and rolled-out-of-bed styling, but somehow these two rock it. Perhaps it's the head-to-toe Chanel couture that does it?

A blunt fringe combined with waves is always a winning look, as modelled here by Florence Welch and Courtney Love. Rocker Courtney looks surprisingly chic in her nude frock and pearls, and although her curls are a little out of control, she definitely looks better than usual!

Finally, proving that velvety black is giving red a run for its money as colour of the season, two of the most stylish ladies on the planet rocked the jet hue at Chanel. Lily Allen and Leigh Lezark both contrasted their ladylike looks with cool, flat black hues.
