Five minutes on salon international with... gary hooker & michael young

Winners of many British Hairdressing Awards, Gary Hooker & Michael Young have once again been nominated for HJ’s British Hairdresser of the Year for 2013. Who would you most like to collaborate with at Salon International? That's a hard one. We really enjoy sharing the stage with other artists and as British Hairdresser Of The Year nominees we get to share the stage on the night with all the other nominees, which is always a real treat. We'd be happy to share a stage at Salon International with any of those guys! How do you prepare for Salon International? It depends what we're doing. If we or our team are presenting then it's like a military operation making sure nothing is left to chance. The days leading up to Salon International we will have everything prepared to make sure it all runs smoothly - well, as smoothly as it can! It's a great place to meet up with people you haven't seen in ages too. What's your must see stand, presentation or event at Salon International? Our first port of call is HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards Gallery sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional – it’s so inspirational and we love to see all the collections together in one place. We always like to see the HJ stage and the Fellowship stage; they both get some fantastic artists and teams on there showcasing some very cool work. What's your top tip for anyone attending Salon International?]
