Slick Launches First Automated Payment Split System for Salon Chair Renters

Slick, the salon management platform backed by L’Oréal, has announced the launch of a groundbreaking payment system that automatically splits payments and commissions for chair renters and salon owners .

With this new system, freelance hairdressers, beauty professionals, and salon owners can now receive their correct earnings automatically and directly into their bank accounts. Chair renters receive their share instantly, while salon owners are paid their percentage separately - eliminating the need for manual transfers, accounting errors, or admin headaches.

“It was really important for me to separate payments,” says Samantha Cusick, Co-Founder of Stā Studios, who uses Slick in her business. “Taking chair renter payments into one account is messy and risky. Slick’s solution is a total no-brainer.”

Until now, managing commission payments between salons and freelance professionals has been time-consuming and open to error. Slick’s automated commission split system solves that problem. The platform automatically divides payments based on pre-set commission percentages, even allowing for separate commission rates for retail products and salon services.

Business owners get PIN code-protected invoices, transparent reporting, and hassle-free payment tracking, making it easier than ever to manage finances and stay compliant.

“This is a huge win for freelancers and salon owners,” says Robert Smith, Co-Founder at Slick. “We’re removing the stress, the admin, and the risk. Everyone gets paid exactly what they’re owed, instantly and securely.”

This innovation is part of Slick’s broader mission to help salons run smarter with tech that works in the real world. The new payment and commission system is now live and available to all Slick users.
