Perfect Pompadour

This 80's meets 50's-inspired quiff makes a real impact. "Starting with damp hair, lift the hair at the roots by blow-drying with a barrel brush.

"Next, gently backcomb the hair in small sections, generously misting with hairspray as you go.

"Finally, gently pin back ¾ of the hair at the crown before teasing the front section for added height," advises Louise.

If a client wants to go for a gothic princess feel, try this stunning style. "After rough blow-drying the hair, curl small sections using large barrel tongs.

"Next, split the hair into two halves and braid the bottom section horizontally at the nape of the neck to create a base for the loose hair to be pinned to. Lastly, after gripping individual curls to the braid, pull some tendrils loose around the face for softness," says Louise.

For this big and beautiful candyfloss 'do, Becky advises that you, "Spray day old hair at the roots with dry shampoo, then gently backcomb to achieve dishevelled texture.

"Leaving the fringe out, gather the hair into a high ponytail and twist and tuck it into itself to create a textured bouffant. Taking care not to smooth the front section, carefully comb the fringe to the side and finish with hairspray."

If a client is bored with their poker-straight fringe and lengths combo, this look creates a fun, flirty feel with a rock 'n' roll edge.

Louise suggests, "After blow-drying smooth using a flat brush, spritz hair all over with heat and hold spray. Then, smooth out the fringe with flat irons and curl medium sections into S-shape waves before finishing with shine spray."

This gorgeously glossy, 60's-inspired updo could be easier to create than you think.

"Apply a heat protective hairdress to relaxed hair and straighten lengths with flat irons.

"Then, leaving the fringe free, secure the hair in to a high ponytail and loop it under into a ballerina chingnon. Lastly, sweep the front section to the side and pin in place," suggests Becky.

If a client is ready to go for the chop, a cute pixie crop is a perfect party look.

To create, Becky suggests,"After straightening a uniformed layered crop with flat irons, smooth with shine wax. Next, brush the hair forward for fullness and cut the fringe asymmetrically from left to right, finishing with a little shine spray."

Leave smooth for a sophisticated edge or add a chunky soft headband for a bohemian Pixie Geldof feel.
