Plaits, buns and beachy waves are all perfect styles for a summer spent in the festival field - textured looks which get better the longer you leave them, and styles that rely on 'second day' hair for grip, guts and texture.

Julianne Hough
"This is a fresh, youthful and sun-kissed look - with a great use of on-trend neon colours in her choice of dress and lipstick. Julianne's tousled hair-up looks sexy and effortless. It's a style that is festival-friendly and easy to achieve, but also a showstopper."
Michelle Ure, Ego Hair Design, Inverness
Whitney Port
"Whitney's hairstyle is perfect for a festival - it's relaxed, easy to do and low-maintenance. Start by adding large rollers to add body and lift, particularly at the roots. Spray with a fine mist of hairspray and, once set, take out the rollers and run your fingers through to break up the curls. Pull the hair over to one side and create a loose braid,
tying with a simple band at the ends. Next, tease the hair on the sides of the face and along the length of the braid with your fingers for a more 'undone' finish."
Philip Bell, Ishoka, Aberdeen

Lea Michele
"Summer is the perfect time to rock a casual yet sultry updo, especially for all the festival-goers out there. All the celebrities are working this look, whether it's on the red carpet or at the hottest parties. Lea wears her hair slightly wavy with a shaggy loose bun. This look, teamed with a heavy, full fringe, is simple yet so effective. The colour works perfectly with soft, subtle toffee tones running through her dark, glossy locks."
Laura Lovatt, Bonce Salons, Walsall
Brooklyn Decker
"I love Brooklyn's fabulous 'undone' look. I'm also a big fan of the highlighted halo effect with the blonde - it's a fabulous new technique that we use in the salon where clients enjoy a greater contrast in terms of highlights. There's nothing I would want to change about the way she looks. She's spot-on."
Mark Caswell, Umberto Giannini, Birmingham
