There were two sides of fashion at New York Fashion Week's Spring/Summer 2011 shows. On one hand were polished, sleek, smooth styles as seen at DKNY and Jason Wu while on the other side was texture, length and volume. One of the prettiest shows was the Badgley Mischka show, which saw girls with flowing dresses and flowing tresses.
Backstage, hair was tonged and gently brushed out for the soft, feminine look which is in stark contrast to smooth, straight finishes. It also gets round the issue of avoiding the dreaded frizz during hot balmy nights!
