The Fellowship for British Hairdressing's Members Night saw HJ's former British Hairdresser of the Year Akin Konizi talk about his career, ambitions and inspirations, along with presentations from teams from across the UK .
Held at the Wella Studio London, the evening saw Akin Konizi give the packed-out audience an insight into his career. He talked about his passion for the industry and the professionals within it, including the friendships he has made along his way to the top.
Award-winning Akin spoke honestly about his surprise at winning one of his first accolades - HJ's London Hairdresser of the Year - in 2005 and the importance of inspiring others through his collections.
The evening also saw presentations by new Fellowship for British Hairdressing members, with models presenting futuristic braids, blunt avant garde looks and distressed finishes. Johnny BaBa from Barber Barber was inspired by 'anti-establishment' and 'non-conformity' for his Mental collection with bold masculine square shapes and internal structures .
Members of this year’s ghd Style Squad introduced their tribal and history-inspired Raw Resurrection. Braiding was enhanced by triangular jewellery, strong shapes and three-dimensional looks.
Take a look at some of the looks from the evening below!
