Students on the Fellowship Colour Project programme were recently mentored by Jaclyn Smith from Jo Hansford salon, who tasked them with creating architecturally-inspired looks.
The year-long scheme is dedicated to helping young colourists get inspired, educated and - ultimately - creative with their colour work. Leading hairdressing names, like Jaclyn, donate their time to suppport and advise the students in intimate, exciting masterclasses.
On this occasion, the theme was structure and architecture. "I chose this theme as I thought it would be great to see how everyone translated it into colour placement and shape," explained Jaclyn. "It was so interesting to see how everyone had chosen to present their moodboards, some even used their iPads. The students created some amazing sectioning patterns as well as finished looks, keeping the structures and shapes they had chosen in mind. Overall the presentations were amazing and everyone was really comfortable and confident standing in front of everyone."
