How long have you been working backstage at shows?
14 seasons?

How did you get into working at fashion week?
I started off assisting whoever I could and then worked my way up to became Jimmy Paul's first assistant. Several years later I started doing my shows and training up my team.

What's your favourite thing about working at fashion week?
The challenge.

What look do you predict we'll be seeing a lot of?
People are bored. The "do it yourself ponytail" and that completely "undone-done" is over. Even if it is a subtle change for something new, I think there will be a call for it this season. We'll be seeing a lot of hair accessories - bands, fabric, feathers, leather.

What's your fashion week kit bag essential?
Everything imaginable. You can't be caught missing anything. EVERY size of BaByliss Pro tongs, art supplies, Bumble and bumble Surf Spray, sewing kit, iPod...

What shows are you doing this season?
It's always a last minute thing and we still have a few weeks to go, but at the moment this is what's on:

NYC: Tess Giberson, Honor, Araks, Nanette Lepore and Wayne

London: Meadham Kirchhoff, Mark Fast, Simone  Rocha, Thomas Tate, Louise Amstrup and Martin Van Der Horst

Paris: Anne Valerie Hash, Peachoo and Gaspard Yukavich

And we will see what else comes in.

Best advice for surviving fashion week?
Remember you only get to do it twice a year so enjoy every minute.
