With New York Fashion Week mere days away, weve compiled a handy guide to all the movers and shakers you need to know about. From the front row celebrity favourites to the journalists that really matter, we've covered the lot. Today, it's the turn of the creative forces behind the world's biggest designer labels.

Vivienne Westwood and Sonia Rykiel are two of the biggest names in fashion, and both just so happen to be proud owners of tangerine-hued hair. Coincidence? Surely not! French designer Sonia is a stalwart of crimping, and her legendary bright orange bob has even been the inspiration for a retrospective fashion collection. Vivienne has been a colour chameleon over the years, but this Crayola-bright shade of orange has been a recent favourite. What would you except from the queen of punk?

Erin Fetherston is famous for her girly, glittery designs, and this unabashedly quirky style is reflected in her personal image. The super long, super straight fringe and unnaturally blonde style say everything you need to know about this designer's style, particularly when combined with her lacy, frou-frou frock!

Similarly, you can pretty much detect Stella McCartney's entire design ethic from her no-nonsense, softly styled, strawberry blonde locks. Absolutely effortless, but probably very expensive - just like that oh-so on-trend camel coat...

designers-the-boys.jpgRepresenting the boys, Henry Holland and Marc Jacobs. Henry does a great job of representing London cool with this quirky quiffed style and short sides, while Marc keeps things a little more classic with his signature jet black locks.

Finally, proving that incredible design talent doesn't necessarily equate to excellent hair, here are two of the biggest names in fashion; Donatella Versace and Karl Lagerfeld. Versace heiress Donatella may well be fashion royalty, but her bleached blonde barnet requires some serious TLC.

As the man responsible for Chanel, Fendi and his own eponymous label, it's safe to say Karl is the hardest working man in fashion. His woolly white mane, always tied back in a neat ponytail with a black band, is as much a Karl trademark as his high collar, rings and sunglasses

Stay tuned for all the gossip on the fashion editors to watch out for, as well as the front-row dwelling celebs we all love to hate.
