The
2015 FAME Team recently had the chance to spend the day with acclaimed session stylist, Yesmin O'Brien.
Yesmin is a regular
backstage at fashion week, working with super-stylist
Sam McKnight amongst others. She's also artistic director for seanhanna, so it's safe to say she knows a thing or two about making memorable imagery as well as working in a busy, backstage environment.
The fabulous four FAME Team members joined Yesmin - fresh from
the Paris catwalks - at the Sanrizz Academy in London, where they enjoyed a day of fashion-fuelled training. Yesmin covered hair prep as well as finished looks, with 12 different styles created in total - just like the hectic world of backstage styling!
Luke Benson from D&J Ambrose said: "What a fantastic day with Yesmin. It was really inspirational to be given such an insight into her career in such a humble way. I loved hearing about the famous fashion houses and session stylists she has worked alongside over the years. She gave us a host of tips and tricks to create session work at speed, and advice on how to believe in our convictions when translating those looks into salon work. It was also fabulous to learn that she started her session styling career as a FAME Team member!"
Antony Licata, FAME Team manager concluded: "The FAME Team had an extremely insightful day. Yesmin talked about her own personal journey in great depth and answered all their questions about life as a session stylist on Sam McKnight's team."
