The
Fellowship for British Hairdressing’s F.A.M.E Team 2020 have recently enjoyed their first mentoring session with their project leader,
Jamie Stevens.
The team assembled at Jamie’s London salon, the first time the team were all together since it was all announced at the Fellowship Luncheon and Awards in December last year.
In preparation for the debut session, the F.A.M.E Team 2020 were given an overview of the year to come by Jamie, including the guest mentoring they have in store, the events and the areas in which they’ll be working on.
Jamie also spent time with the team, working on presentation skills and team-building exercises to help unite the team as a group and get to know one another.
Team member Casey Coleman said: “As soon as I got there, it was like seeing a bunch of mates I hadn’t seen for a little while. At the end of the day, I think we would all agree that we felt much more of a unit and are so excited to showcase what we’re going to do this year.
We already have a few tricks up our sleeves and we can’t wait to show everybody what it really means to be part of the F.A.M.E. Team!
It was a pretty amazing day because Jamie has so much experience, so we were all over the moon when we found out what we’ll be doing for the rest of the year.
Sometimes, when somebody as big as Jamie is in the same room as you, it can be daunting, but he made it very clear that he is just human, has the same worries as we do and still feels nervous before going on stage, I think that really helped us all.”
