Fame team 2017 finalists announced

Eight talented hairdressers have been selected to compete in the live final which will see four of them go on to form the new Fellowship for British Hairdressing’s FAME team.
On Wednesday 31st August Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design in London welcomed 13 stylists all hoping to be chosen to go through to the final round of the FAME team 2017.
Judging the hopefuls were Fellowship president Bruno Marc; vice president Andreas Stavrou; Project X Leader Ashleigh Hodges; Johanna Cree Brown; Debbie Currie; and Simon Shaw.
The 13 semi-finalists were scored throughout the day on various skills, including cutting, hair up, and their ability to recreate a photographic image. There was also a formal interview where the judging panel was able to get to know everyone a little better.
Karine Jackson, Fellowship chancellor, said: “Every year the level of skill from the semi-finalists amazes me and this year was no exception. Being able to see the 13 hairdressers throughout the day is always an incredible experience and one I look forward to. You couldn’t help but feel inspired as they showcased just how talented they are to a packed audience at the beautiful venue. A huge congratulations to the eight finalists who really did wow the judges! For those that weren’t successful this time I definitely encourage you to come back for 2018!”
