Extravagance and eccentricity charlie le mindu style
Some see him as a fashion designer, others as a hair stylist, but there is no debate that Charlie Le Mindu's collections are designed to wow.
Charlie's AW/10 collection, which worked real human hair into his couture creations had all the drama of previous collections but also introduced more wearable pieces suchh as quality feather-effect coats and bags.
"As a hair fashion designer my creations use hair as the raw material," says Charlie. "Some of the pieces are avant-garde but the capes and handbags are very desirable and will be seen on the streets.
"This season's collection used hair colouring techniques to create texture in the clothes and hair - I worked with Fudge Paintbox and Headpaint to create a vivid stripping, texturised effects to the finished pieces.
"It's extremely eye catching!"
The show, which was watched by singer La Roux and her stylist Nova Dando also featured a diamante-studded crucifix and a wig completed with a music box.
